Pray.

Heather Morris writes……

The people called Methodist in Ireland are committed to ‘living wholeheartedly as followers of Jesus for the transformation of the world’. This is a deeply significant and a stirring vision. As I write we are in the middle of 50 Days of Prayer. In prayer rooms, Bible studies and prayer meetings and in private devotions, many Methodists across this island are praying every day ‘… root us deep in you, set your passion in our hearts, awaken us by your Spirit, that we may live joyfully and hopefully as followers of Jesus, offering all we are to you, for the transformation of the world’. Even as I write I wonder ‘what if we allowed God to answer that prayer with God’s yes’? A people rooted in God’s wholehearted, unlimited love who offer all they are to Jesus for the transformation of the world.

Conference matters, for those who are members and for those who will observe in person and online. It matters for the whole Church as God uses it to remind us of our calling, to point us to Jesus and as the Spirit breathes and encourages us to live wholeheartedly for God’s glory. Please hold Conference in your prayers.
