
In recent years many churches and Christian events (Castlewellan Holiday Week is one notable example) have provided an area for individual prayer activities.
This is perhaps because we are learning more about the connection between our senses, our physical movements and the brain.
In the same way that for many people, the spiritual experience of singing worship songs is enhanced or even deepened by raising or clapping hands, closing eyes, swaying or even dancing.
We know of examples from the Bible where the uncontainable joy of praising a mighty God, has led worshipers to dance, to wave palms and to respond to God’s grace with actions – breaking a perfume jar, for example.
