The people of Roscrea presented Thomas Dooley with a Wolseley car on 26 June 1923 to acknowledge his enormous contribution to the town and its people during a period of 30 years.
He really was a most remarkable individual and considering how difficult life was back then, Mr Dooley was a worthy recipient.
This picture is proudly displayed in Roscrea Methodist Church vestry, where the late Mr Dooley was an active Christian and a member of the Methodist congregation and very held in high esteem by the community.
