What is a ‘Mission Partner’? ‘Mission Partners’ are people who have been called to mission, and gone through a specific period of discernment, training and stationing with the Methodist Church.
The programme is administered by the Methodist Church in Britain, in partnership with Methodist churches around the world, and is supported by the Methodist Church in Ireland (MCI). Through this programme, MCI currently supports more than 20 Mission Partners working across the globe.
Three of them are Irish Methodists: Barry and Gillian Sloan, and Melissa Newell.
In March this year, Gemma Barclay became MCI’s latest Mission Associate. Like Stephen, Gemma is working with 24-7 Prayer on Ibiza.
