President to attend coronation of King Charles III

President of the Methodist Church in Ireland, the Rev David Nixon, will be attending the coronation of King Charles III on Saturday (6 May).

The Rev Nixon said, ‘I am honoured to have been invited to the coronation ceremony and pray God’s blessing on the King and his Queen Consort.’

The coronation of Charles III and his wife, Camilla, as king and queen of the United Kingdom and the other Commonwealth realms will take place at Westminster Abbey in London.

Charles acceded to the throne on 8 September 2022, following the death of his mother, Elizabeth II.
