Young Methodists have been demonstrating their concern for climate justice following COP27.
A team of young activists from around Europe, including Austria, Denmark, Portugal, Sweden and Switzerland, led by European Methodist Youth Climate Ambassador, Irene Abra from Italy, have been meeting together to engage with the activities around COP27.
The 2022 United Nations Climate Change Conference or Conference of the Parties of the UNFCCC, more commonly referred to as COP27, was held in November in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt.
The young people have been working with Climate YES, an ecumenical campaign led by young Christians calling for climate justice. They are also creating and sharing resources to highlight the voices of young activists from Methodist Churches around Europe.
Young Methodist Irene Abra reflects on the outcomes of COP27 and the work carried out with regard to climate justice. You can read her report in full in our January edition.
